The official Blog of EXOGAL

Give your dealer some love!

I know this article is a few months old at this point but I think it's really relevant: http://audiophilereview.com/audiophile-news/the-future-of-audio-dealers.html

At EXOGAL, we believe that a solid dealer base is absolutely necessary, especially for those people who are new to the world of Hi Resolution Audio. It's one thing to sit down at your computer and Google(TM) "Getting Started in Hi Fi Audio" or to read blogs and magazines. It's quite another to talk to someone who is knowledgeable and can help you decide what you want to spend, determine how it fits into your listening space and your lifestyle, and help you get the best "bang for your buck."

We get a lot of calls from consumers demanding, yes demanding that we sell them products and at steep discounts no less. Um, no. Save the dime. While we want people to buy our products, we want them to LOVE them after they do. We can't help to make that happen - only our dealers can. So while the day may come when we make a product or products that we sell direct, our main line, and our most innovative products will always and only be sold through dealers.

Support these people. They are acting in your best interests!

As a proud Exogal representative in Sweden - we're as biased as anyone can be. But, what surprises me the most in relation to this discussion is the fact that more often than you might expect, people buy on hype, advice from unknown people or pure speculation. Read > Ask > Learn > Listen > Try should be the obvious steps. More ofter than not, the most important steps (Listen > Try) are left out, which often leads to bad results, frustration and financial loss when you later on realize that the product does not deliver within the context of your system and/or in relation to your preferences.

We're here for you. Take advantage :)
